This is maybe, just maybe, sneaking in at the top of our faves by Xavier Deneux. We love his Touch Think Learn books, but this one is super-adorable. Grown up version: cute story of birds. Kids' version: it's a jigsaw, it's a shape-learning puzzle, it's a story about chicks hatching from eggs... You name it.
We love the little thumbholes, so they can poke out the shapes & fly little bird (and little bird's partner & baby chick) all over the place. It's seriously cute stuff. And don't forget, if you like this we've more fabulous touchy-feely-readingy-learning books by Xavier Deneux for you, too. We mean for *them*. For the kids, yes...
