This book is great for introducing diversity and inclusion in an accessible and entertaining way. A great straight-forward story which we both really enjoyed.

We love brave Billy and her exciting adventures. This story is funny and inspiring, putting a young girl's ingenuity centre stage.
Billy and the Beast is a picture book for young children who love a mix of laughter, suspense and adventure. Refreshingly, the heroine here is a brown girl with a yellow cagoule, skinny jeans and a fabulously frizzy beehive in which she stashes essentials, from emergency doughnuts to useful devices. Caitlin Moran says this about Billy: 'These are the most brilliant, beautiful and silly picture-books out there at the moment. Little doorways of joy.' Need we say more?
